Real Q is the real deal! We were visiting from Florida, and from the moment we opened the door, the aroma of the wood smoked barbecue let us know we were in for something special. We ordered the chopped pork with BBQ slaw, fried okra, baked beans, and potato salad and every bite was delicious. The chopped pork was flavorful and tender, and the sides were the perfect complement. We also mixed their signature BBQ sauce with the thick sauce, and that combination was absolutely incredible! What made the experience even better was the outstanding customer service. The staff was warm, welcoming, and made us feel right at home from the time we walked in until we left. If you’re looking for authentic, wood smoked barbecue, Real Q is definitely the place to go. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in the area. I hadn’t been to Real Q in a few years because I’ve been stationed overseas, but ever since I got back to Winston-Salem, this was one of the places I couldn’t wait to visit. Today was finally the day, and it was worth every bit of the wait. The BBQ was exactly how I remembered it, smoky, tender, and full of flavor. The hush puppies were hot and crispy, the sides were excellent, and their Dippin’ Sauce is still one of the best around. You can tell they take pride in doing BBQ the traditional way. The service was just as impressive. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. My wife and I both left full and happy. If you’re looking for authentic Lexington-style BBQ in Winston-Salem, Real Q is the place to go. It’s the kind of local spot you keep coming back to, and after being away for years, I’m happy to say it was just as good as I remembered. Highly recommend!

This is a great spot to come and sit with the family. The food and atmosphere is great! Very clean and very very friendly. We love the cheeseburgers! Definitely our go to cheeseburger stop. My family loves sweet tea and their sweet tea is right on point. Not too sweet and not too unsweet absolutely perfect!

Food was great. Bbq and sauce had a great taste. The potato salad was just as good. We had the bbq plate and a bbq salad. Very friendly staff.

I do not like this new batter on their chicken tenders. It is very hard and crunchy. Also, I ordered a cheeseburger with mayonnaise and ketchup and instead got a glob of mustard. No ketchup, no mayonnaise. I paid almost $40 for this order. I wiped off as must mustard as I could, but me and my husband could not eat these hard crunchy chicken tenders. I’ve been coming here for a long time, way back when it was called Little Richards, Then they changed the name to Real Q ( new owners, I guess) but if these are the way they’re going to start making those chicken tenders, I won’t get them again. The batter is hard, crunchy, and tastes more like fish. The staff is very friendly but the food hasn’t been up to par lately.
